The most stupid thing I've done 2007...

I'm hard pressed to do something to top this.

I spilled some Coke (Coca-Cola) on my keyboard today, I did some casual cleaning and noticed that some keys got stuck. So I took the keyboard apart and cleaned each key. Talking to Mathias about ways to dry them fast he suggested the oven at 60 degrees and I countered with; a short time in the microwave...

We tried the micro out, with two keys from an already broken keyboard. It worked great for the 10 seconds they where in. Didn't work all that great for 30-40 pieces of plastic for 20-40 seconds... Something said *POP* and we rushed in to the kitchen.... This is the result:

Mathias had a keyboard I now borrow, Lucky me!
It's now close to 6 hours later and it still smell from the fumes...

What is it with C:are and microwaves?
Vitkor was over at Rydv 124A studying. There were some cookies left. He wanted to make em a little bit softer or something. He also put em in the microwave. Burn Baby Burn, and the smell. They started glowing from the inside and melted the plastic box theyu were in..

Kram på dig!

Hilarious! *lol*
Although, it's an interesting example of the common mistake that twice that much must be twice as good.
("Hey... If 10 seconds in the micro worked then 20-40 seconds must be fantastic!")

I really needed this laugh today, so thank you. =)

And just to be on the safe side, I'd like to add that Mae West said: "Too much of a good thing... can be wonderful."

I would have use a hair-dryer.

A keyboard in a microwave sounds dangerous, because there are metallic parts in the keyboard, and it is not recommended to use microwaves with metals :-)

If you re-read the post you'll notice I actually only put the keys in the microwave.
